PicoLog r5.20.8 Monitor window

Post by olepagh »

The layout of the monitor window has been changed in this latest version to a much more readable layout (changed fonts, lines etc.) and that is good.
But the width of the columns are fixed and it seems not possible to change those widths permanently i.g. they revert to the default size after a restart of the program.

My problem is that the columns are too narrow, so both the headlines and the contents in the columns are cut to a few letters follow by 3 dots. e.g Channel name "01 DnnnnA" becomes "01 Dn..." and I have also observed readings being presented as "2.34..."

Where does the settinge hide in the .PLS or .INI file(s)?
Or is it a program "bug" that can be corrected in a future version?
I have attached a screenshot showing the issue.

Hi,
I am afraid that the start-up column width is not adjustable in a start-up file. It is hard-coded in the program and cannot be saved between sessions. At present, nothing can be done about this but it might be sorted in the future, sorry.

Hi Peter
Thanks for the answer. It's much easier to accept "strange" behavior when you know that you cannot do anything about it.

Could I humbly suggest it to be added to the SW departments "to do" list?

Unfortunately not all feature requests that we put forward to the development team are implemented. As PicoLog is in maintenance release, it has been for over 3 years, only major bug fixes will be looked at.

If this is an issue for you then please contact support@picotech.com
