Sensore Failure with PT104

Post by Guest »

We are integrating the PT104 reader in our software and everything is fine.
We are now testing the failure of the sensor and, to do that, we are detaching the sensor during the recording, we always got TRUE are return of the "pt104_get_value" and a temperature value.
Hoe do we know if a sensor probe failed?

Hi well,

The sensor will have a known resistance, for example the PT100 is 100 ohms at 0degC, and about 109 ohms at room temp. The PT1000 will be 1000 ohm at 0degC and maybe 1097 at room temp. So by getting the reading of the sensor at room temp you will be able to know if the sensor is working correctly or not.

Kind regards
