Pico ADC212 on Linux (with VirtualBox)

Postby thenthenio » Tue Jul 07, 2009 7:41 pm

It simply works!!!

My configuration:
- HP-Compaq 8510W portable PC.
- Host OS Sabayon Linux 4.2 (kernel 2.6.28).
- Sun VirtualBox 2.2.4 http://www.virtualbox.org/.
- Guest OS Microsoft Windows XP SP2.
- Pico USB/parallel adapter.
- Pico ADC212-100.
IMPORTANT:
In VirtualBox USB tab disable USB controller 2.0 (EHCI).

I think the host OS and the kernel is not important: any recent would fit.

Enjoy!

PicoScope2105

VirtualBox 2.2.4 (the nonfree Edition)

Guest: WinXp Sp3

Host: Debian unstable, Kernel 2.6.30
Thanks thenthenio,

worked! (with 2.0 enabled, the program froze everytime it tried to detect the device.)
