Pico 2203-AWG Signal Out to perform probe compensation?

Post by pjphilp0325 »

Is it possible to perform probe "compensation adjustmet" using the method described in the probe "manual" by using the AWG and Signal Out on the 2203? The scopes I use at work all have the "cal" lug for doing this.

Related question - can I use the AWG functionality on Signal Out to feed a signal to ChanA or ChanB of the 2203? I was thinking that it would make a decent "learning tool" for the PicoScope6 software if I could generate a certain type of signal using the AWG and then learn how to set up the software to optimize sampling of that type of signal.

Hi if you use a 1kHz square wave on the signal generator then you can do this.

To answer your second question then you can use a BNC to BNC cable from the sig gen output to either channel A or B. You can then perhaps use a sweep and add a frequency measurement to show that the frequency is changing.

You can adjust the number of samples which will affect the sampling rate.

Hope this helps.
