The spec gives +/-30V but how much current will an input sink before the unit will fail?

Hi the input impedance is 1M (single ended) or 2M (differential). The current will therefore be minimal and the unit will be damaged by voltage rather than current. There is no diode clamping.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards
