ADC 11 Long Duration Traces

Post by Jasper »

I am using an ADC 11 to capture 4 - 20 Ma voltages.

However i can only with my limited knowledge of the pico kit collect around 500 seconds of data on the screen.

Is there a way of collecting a trace over a number of hours???

Many Thanks

Hello Jasper

To change the number of samples and sampling period, go to "settings | sampling" in PicoLog. You can then select the sampling interval and number of samples to collect.

If you want to log indefinitely, go to "settings | recording" and change "action at end of run" to "repeat immediately".

I hope this helps

Thanks Robin, i have got the picolog graph working ok

using picoscope for tending is there any way of extending the trace past 500 seconds with the adc 11, again trending 4-20ma signals

Hi

You need to use the PicoLog software with the ADC-11, not PicoScope.

To change the number of samples and sampling period, go to "settings | sampling" in PicoLog. You can then select the sampling interval and number of samples to collect. If you want it to run for longer than 500 seconds, increase the number of samples and/or the sampling period.
