PS2202

Post by msholden »

I have a 2202 O-scope and am looking for a way to check frequency responses on tube amps. I tried the sound card but the sound card has an unacceptable frequency response to send to the amp in order to measure the input and output of the amp. I see now that the 2200 series offered a programmable output function generator combined with the O-scope.

I realy do not want to invest much money into this. Any one have any ideas?

Thanks :?

Hi the 2203/04 and 05 have a function generator that goes from DC to 100kHz. You can sweep up and down the frequency range. The 2202 does not have a function generator.

Kind regards

2202 & Function generator

Post by msholden »

Hi all,

Ziko thanks for your reply.

Have some questions for all. Any one know if PICO offer any incentive for upgrading equipment?

On the 2203/04 and 05 can you use Visual Basic and set a frequency, duration, and amplitude, on the function generator? Can you address and control the function generator from a development environment?

Thanks

Hi

You can use the DLL functions to setup the signal generator.

See http://www.picotech.com/document/pdf/ps2000pg-en.pdf for the programming interface. Use the functions ps2000SetSigGenBuiltIn and ps2000SetSigGenArbitrary to set up the signal / arbitrary waveform generator.

Hope this helps

Robin
