Hi

It is not currently available in PicoScope 6. However, it is currently being worked on and will be included in a future release of the software.

Hi,

I have just bought a Picoscope 5000 series. I need to do x-y measurements with it and I have just noticed, that the Picoscope 6 software apparently won't let me to do so.

Is there another software that allows me to do x-y measurements with my picoscope?
When will this functionality be available in Picoscope6?

Tom

Hi

PicoScope 6 does now include x-y mode. Right click on the trace and select "x-axis". You can then select which channel you wish to use as the x-axis.

Hi Robin,

thanks for the quick reply. It works great!

BTW:
It would be cool, if one could use e.g. the AuxIO input in xy mode to blank out the scope beam (switch from draw to no-draw=invisible). This would make it possibe to use Picoscope as a storage screen for older test equipment like microwave spectrum analyzers, where it is necessary to blank out the beam return.

Is this already possible or feasible?

Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom

This isn't currently possible, but I will pass the suggestion on!

XY-Mode missing in Picoscope 6 with Picoscope 3204 hardware

Post by sosmike »

XY-Mode was a feature in Picoscope 5, afaik. I think it's difficult to understand why it is not present in Picoscope 6.
I have just tried on a Picoscope 6 (latest version download), to get the xy-mode. In trial mode xy-mode works perfect, easy to find in the menu. When I use the same PS-6 with a 3204 the menu point for xy is greyed out.
How can I get xy with this 3204?
