EnviroMon System

Which product is right for your exact requirements

EnviroMon System

Postby Guest » Tue Sep 23, 2008 3:10 pm

We're testing our highvoltage equipment in longterm experiments for several months to years. For that, we need a robust logging system, with a low sampling rate. Our requirements would be:
    - Voltage and Current measurements per experiment
    - low sampling rate
    - up to 4 simultaneously experiments
    - central storage and coordination of the experiments
    - 10m from central storage to each experiment

We think that your EnviroMon system offer a suitable solution for us. But would you also offer a box with both current and voltage measurements or do we have to buy two boxes? What would be the prizes for that?
And do you also deliver to Switzerland?

Thanks a lot

Hi

It sounds as if the Enviromon system would be suitable for your application. You will require the data logger and a converter (or converters) for the sensors (see http://www.picotech.com/e_converters.html).

Enviromon will log measurements once every minute.

The 10 m distance that you require is not a problem. Incidentally, it is not necessary for the data logger to be connected to the PC during data collection.

Could you give me some more information on the current and voltage that you wish to measure? (range, AC or DC).

See http://www.picotech.com/distribl/switzer.html for a list of distributors in Switzerland

Thanks Robin!

The voltage range is around 380V AC and the current around 10 A.

It would be nice, if the system has some flexibility and could handle various currents and voltages easily without transformers.

It would be also nice, if one only need one box per experiment with both current and voltage converters and one could programm each input for different inputs.

The EL040 (http://www.picotech.com/e_converters.html#el040) is a three channel converter that can be used with the TA011 current clamps to measure AC current up to 300 Amps. This converter has an input range of up to 1 V RMS AC. Therefore, if you wish to use this to record AC voltage you will need to use appropriate transformers/attenuators.

Please let me know if you need further information
