picoscope 2203 using VMware

Postby Guest » Sun Aug 31, 2008 1:34 pm

Hi, I am running windows Xp, using VMWARE on MAC OS X, so far I haven't had any problem connecting hardware via usb port, windows always recognizes it, but when installing the picoscope, windows doensn't recognize it, it doesn't say found new hardware, when installing the software there was no problem reported. So has anybody had this problem ?

I've got the same problem with my Picoscope 2203. The installation never stops until i disconnect the device. After that the Hardware Wizard ends with a success message - the device correctly show up in the hardware device manager. But if I start the Software Picoscope (5, 6) the app hangs while initializing the scope. I've already read in this post http://www.picotech.com/support/about3252.html that picotech and vmware worked together to solve the problem for 2202. Can somebody help me and give me a hint what i should do to solve this?
This is my post on the VMWare Fusion Forum: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/174777?tstart=0

thank you for any help! Jimmy

I'm having the same problems here. It would be great if there was some resolution to this problem.
