Picoscope Overvoltages

Post by steve_martin »

1. If the users use the Picoscope to measure a 60V source with x1 probe for example (which causing the overvoltages), will this damage the unit? can the unir be repaired after that? can we repair ourselves? or should we send it back to UK for repair?

2. Will this over voltage damage the USB port and also the PC?

Hello Steve,

Rather than hypothesize about how the unit could fail, it is incumbent upon me to express that you may not measure 60V with the unit directly and should not attempt to do so.

If the unit requires repair, then please send an email to support@picotech.com with the relevant details.

Regards
John
