A PicoVNA that has been sitting unused for a long time fails its hardware diagnostic test. See attached picture of the resulting dialog box. The test procedure has been followed, with several attempts. Is this a user error, or an actual hardware failure? In the latter case, is there a known solution that could be applied locally here?
Hello, the error message you are seeing suggests that the receiver level (with a low loss cable connected between ports 1 and 2) exceeds the expected range at 6 GHz. It could be the cable you are using to connect port 1 to port 2. I would check that it is a good cable and the connectors are clean and good. Of course, you can also try another cable.
Hi, thanks for responding. I already tried different cables with the same result. Also, it is not clear how the cable could make the signal level too high, so I am still puzzled by this error.
