Early access Picoscope 7 crashes on startup

Post by rogerb »

Just downloaded the latest version this morning and the application crashes on startup every time.

Had to revert to backup to get it working again.

Any one else with this problem?

Using Catalina 10.15.7 with 24GB memory and 7.0.118.14125 of Picoscope 7 Early Access

I have the same problem (running on Windows 10, 64 bit)
Version 6 is working fine but version 7 briefly pops up in the task manager and aborts.

Updated yet again to a 2nd update offered and have the same issue of crashing on startup.

Have you dropped support on Catalina as the previous version still works OK but both updates cause a crash!

I have the same problem on MacMini MacOS Monterey 12.6.5, neither the stable version nor the early access won't start, the windows will open and close immediately again.

I'm a little worried that no one from Pico support has bothered to make a reply even to say that they are aware and working on it - that would be nice. Otherwise I can't use any new features being added!

Perhaps there's only a few of us using this early access software so its not important?

The officially supported O/S versions are macOS 13 (Ventura) and 12 (Monterey), if you are having problems the best approach is to contact support@picotech.com directly.
