Generating a single pulse with a variable delay after trigger

Hi,
I want to generate a single pulse which shall be applied a certain time (variable) after the oscilloscope has triggered. With an AWG (like Tektronics) it would be easy. But not sure what would be the best way to do with the integrated AWG (e.g. 5443D MSO).
The idea is to control a open drain circuitry to disturb/manipulate an input signal to my DUT.
Actually I haven't found a convenient way to add a variable delay after scope trigger. Maybe I have overlooked something.
