Setting Up Acquisition Settings When Signal Information is Unknown

Post by LearningLabVIEW1 »

Hi All,

Looking for advice on this.

I am trying to use the scope through LabVIEW to just read some signals from a circuit board. This board has varying signal types of pulses, sin, etc. These signals will vary in amplitude, frequency depending on when a voltage is sent through the board, or the board is simulated for its main purpose.

How would I set up the Picoscope through LabVIEW to be able to read these signals when I don't know what the acquisition settings should be? Is there an auto setup of some sort?

Or even, can anyone offer advice on how they would go about this? My goal was to have 1 VI that can be set up to "monitor" a channel with any type of signal, and then when getting the data of that signal, i can use it to calculate pulse width or frequency.
