Noise on channels when using trigger with Picoscope 5242D

Post by lgsnr »

Issue :
We are using a Pico5242D to record a TTL signal. When we enable the use of a trigger to start the recording we notice after more than 10sec of recording a lot of noise on the recorded channel. The noise has the same amplitude than the TTL signal.

Diagnostic:
-We tried to change multiple times the TTL source with the exact same result every time.
-We also tried using Ext Trigger channel as the source of the input trigger resulting in the same issue.
-When the trigger is not enabled the issue disappear and the signal recorded is clean.

Has anyone faced this issue before?
Can anyone from Picoscope explain why this is happening and its possible solution ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi lgsnr,

Sorry for the delay in answering (circumstances have prevented me from answering forum posts for longer than we would prefer).

If you are still looking for an answer here then could you post a data file here, showing the problem. We will then be able to look into this for you.

Regards,
