What's the relationship between timebase and Sample Rate in PicoScope3000aExampleBlock.vi

Post by Z.Cheng »

I'm learning the official sample program "PicoScope3000aExampleBlock.vi"。I find that if timebase<=4, Sample Rate(ns) = 2**timebase , but if timebase>4, Sample Rate = 16+8*(timebase-4) . So I want to know why the relationship is like this?Image

At the fastest timebases the number of channels is limited and that is why the calculation is different, as per the Programmer's Guide
