Calibration TC-08 thermocouple data logger

Post by Lorenzo »

Can i perform a calibration within TC-08 thermocouple data logger?
In other words, is there the possibility to insert a calibration of the thermocouple?
For example:
-) I buy a thermocouple
-) I found a table of value :
V Temperature
0 0
... ....
2 300
-) insert this table within datalogger so i perform the calibration and read the correct value of temperature

Thanks

If this datalogger can't perform this calibration, is there another hardware that can read thermocouples and perform this calibration?

There are no calibration values that can be inserted into the USB-TC08 hardware, we at Pico can perform a Factory Calibration and Test to correct a unit that has drifted out of tolerance.

However it is possible to add scaling values within the PicoLog 6 software so that the readings are corrected in line with a calibration table of errors, if that is what you mean.

Thanks, it is possible to input this table of errors directly in the software? Can you share me a photo of this table in the software, please?

Select a channel to setup
ChannelSetup.png
Click on Probe or Scaling

Select table
TableScaling.png
and then add your calibration values

Thanks for the reply. I have another question. If i want to measure the humidity what type of datalogger should I use? It is possible to integrate it in TC-08?

You can use the single channel terminal board https://www.picotech.com/accessories/te ... inal-board with third party sensors that have ±5 V, ±500 mV and ±50 mV, or 4–20 mA current loop outputs. So if you can find a third party Humidity Sensor with one of these outputs that would be the recommended option.
