Manual Trigger and hold/save a single sweep

Post by Kevin Powell »

I am using a 2205 Picoscope device with Picoscope 6. I'm setup with a relatively long timebase (2s/division) and need to start a "single" sweep "manually" but can't figure out how to hold the record at the end of the sweep, so I can save it. I may be missing a simple point here, but from what I can determine, without the use of a threshold "trigger" if I manually "start" the trace, I have to manually "stop" the sweep before it gets to the end... or the record is overwritten and lost by the next automatically started sweep. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Try using Tools-Alarms and for the Capture alarm chose to Stop the Capture.
