PicoScope application does not recognize a device

Post by bremenpl »

Hello there,
I am using Windows 10 with the latest PicoScope application and the PicoScope 3000 series device. So far I was working in such hardware setup and everything worked well:

(4.84 KiB) Not downloaded yet

I have acquired a https://www.alldaq.com/en/products/pc-s ... o/">Alldaq USB3.0 isolator, so the setup became:

iso.png
(8.88 KiB) Not downloaded yet
no_iso.png
(4.84 KiB) Not downloaded yet

And now the PicoScope 6 application stopped recognizing the scope, even though its visible in the device manager:

Disconnecting the isolator from the docking station and connecting it directly to the PC makes the Scope working in the application, even though the device manager entry is the same:

no_dock.png
(6.36 KiB) Not downloaded yet

What could be the problem in here? Something tells me it is a matter of series USB3.0 hubs, but its just a guess. Are the PicoScope devices not allowed to run via USB hubs?

I would appreciate all help in resolving the issue.

did you put the external power on the usb isolator.
200mA is too low for picoscope to work.
So you need to apply the external power to the isolator.
