CM3 extremely sluggish

I measure 8 A when my appliance is on. When it is switched off, the CM3 goes down to 2 A in 30 seconds, then from 2 A to 1 A in another 30 seconds. Thereafter down to whatever the CM3 thinks should be zero is asymptotic.

This is starkly nonlinear behaviour.

I read in other posts that picolog knows this. But I did not see the slightest hint why this is so.

An RC filter would have a time constant, but would be linear and nobody would set it this big.

If Sigma-Delta ADCs are used ok there is a decimation filter, but not of this sort.

So what is it?
