6404C temperature control suggestions

We are intending to use a 6404C in a test in an extreme environment later this summer; we expect temps to be above 45°C ambient, and our concern is the max operating limit of 40 °C and the max limit for accuracy, stated as 30 °C. The 6404C will not be directly in the sun, it is within a larger enclosure in the shade, with air flow through the enclosure. It is powered with batteries that are operational to 60 °C, and its control computer is operational to 70 °C
1) Would you recommend a TEC w/ controller to directly contact the 6404C chassis? We could monitor this with thermocouples and the TC-08.
2) Would simply cooling the air flow to perhaps 25°C for the fans to circulate through the instrument be sufficient?
3) There does not appear a means to monitor the instrument temperature within the PicoScope 6 control software for this series of instruments, are there any instruments forthcoming that this is available?
