Windows 10 - Driver installation error

Post by Palle »

Hi
I have just downloaded and installed PicoScope® 6 - PC Oscilloscope software version: 6.14.61.6218
When I insert my 2005A MSO PicoScope, it get the message 'There is no device connected'.
Looking at device manager, the device is Unknown.

Trying to update the driver gives the following error:
Windows found drivers for your device by encountered an error while attempting to install them.
PicoScope 2000 series PC oscilloscope

***The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering!***

Any ideas to what is wrong?

I have exactly the same issue. Just got a new 2204A and downloaded the latest PicoScope 6.14.61 software. Admittedly I did plug it in before installing, but I unsinstalled the "Unknown Device" from device manager and tried again but still doesn't work. I got the same hash file error when trying to manually locate the driver in the Pico folder.

I couldn't get version 6 working but downloaded the pre-release version 7 from their website and that worked straight away. https://oem.picotech.com/p7beta/download
