Calibrate 2208B myself

Post by CommanderLake »

I know Picoscope has a calibration service to make a bit of extra profit but if they can do it then I can do it too so how do I calibrate it myself assuming I have an accurate voltage reference connected?

I don't believe you can. You can of course check the scope against a voltage reference, but I don't think you can change what the scope reads.

The purpose of a calibration is to check that a device meets the published specifications, and then to provide a table of errors to show exactly where in the specification range that the device currently sits. This allows you to make adjustments to the measurements you make to improve their accuracy, and yes you can do this, and so can a third party calibration house. However if you find that the published specifications are not met then the unit would need to be returned to us for repair and adjustment as this can only be performed by us.
