2204A Arbitrary Waveform frequency unstable

Post by petethehop »

Hello folks,
I'm using my Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) to generate a low frequency trigger signal for a circuit I'm testing. Between the 0.2 and 30Hz frequencies I'm using,it is not stable.
e'g at 16Hz standard waveform square wave and the channel A scope probe connected direct to the output, it jumps between 15.9. and 16.46 hz.
At higher frequencies though, there doesn't seem to be such a proportional error.
I appreciate any help in getting the frequency stable.

This may be down to the sample rate in use. If you select Views->ViewProperties so you can see the panel on the right hand side and post a picture of this so we can check. Alternatively post a psdata file.

To check please use the attached psdata file which has a Math Channel for Frequency and connect the Signal Generator to Channel A
