Memorizing and monitoring signals after a single trigger pulse

Post by Bunalmis »

Let me explain my problem with an example.

I designed the MCU controlled SMPS and I want to store signals with scope to catch some problems.

2408B Scope;

A probe connected to PWM channel
B probe connected to current sensor output
C probe connected to smps voltage output
D probe connected to Trigger signal is on the MCU

I want the memory save process to start with a single trigger pulse from channel D and continue until all the scope memory is full.

However, only 1 screen full of signal is memorized after triggering. However, there is at least 32 screens of memory.

Can't we do what I want through the current scop program?

Hi Bunalmis,

Sorry for the long delay in answering. I have been off work for different reasons, and only just caught up with a heavy workload, and backlog of Helpdesk tickets.

You need to switch the Trigger mode at the bottom of the display to 'Single Trigger' and increase the Number of samples to the Maximum (it will indicate 2GS, but you will just get the maximum number for the Scope and selected Timebase).
