Avoid recording of IEPE sensor charging

Post by vincenzo.vitale »

Good day everyone,
I'm writing a custom program to record streaming data from a Picoscope 4224 IEPE with a Bruel & Kjaer 1D Accelerometer Sensor.
I've found that the first 5 sec of the recording is unuseful due to a characteristic event of the IEPE channel opening.

I want to try to avoid the recording of this time period in the buffer but I didn't found in the program guide a proper function to start streaming from 5s since the opening of the channel.
What function should I use? Or I must write a workaround?

I attach the screenshot of the signal from Picoscope6.

Thank you.

Hi Enzo,

Sorry for the long delay in answering. I have been off work for different reasons, and only just caught up with a heavy workload, and backlog of Helpdesk tickets.

If you set a trigger to fire at the top of the rising edge toward zero, then you will eliminate the vast majority of the anomaly.

Regards,
