Trigger rate

Post by Dmytro »

Hi,
Just bought PS 5444D for our nuclear physics lab. All is fine but I am missing important simple feature, which I usually have in most of the scopes. How can I see the trigger rate (number of triggered events per second with setted threshold)? This is quiet important for us, as it is the fast way to check the individaul detector thresholds.

As there is no answers I guess the feature is not available. Could anyone tell if it is possible to request it somehow?

How many triggers / second do you want to know (maximum) ?
How fast are the events you are looking for (maximum) ?

Up to 100 kHz trigger/s. The pulses are near 40 ns long

Hi Dmytro,

I apologise for the delay in answering, I have been on annual leave.

You can view the number of Triggers per second, as the 'Capture Rate', by switching to 'Persistence Mode' (the icon to the left of Spectrum Mode), opening the Properties window, to the right of the display (by going to Views->View Properties) and looking at the item at the bottom.

Regards,
