Selected probe does not stick

Post by JonasA »

Hi
I have two 4824A. And for the first one I have set up all the 8 channels to different customs probes. No matter how I save the settings or import settings the software will always start with wrong probes for channels F, G and H. They always revert back to the Custom probe (that comes with software) "TA325: 3 Phase AC Flex current probe (300 A Mode)". So every time I start the program I have to change back to my probes for those 3 channels.
The probe "TA325: 3 Phase AC Flex current probe (300 A Mode)" can not be deleted. It can be edited. I noticed that when I press edit the software complains that the name is too long.

Hi JonasA,

I apologise for the long delay in answering, I have been tied up with other work, so I haven't been able to answer forum posts for quite a while.

If this is still an issue, then:
1/ Does this also happen on the other PS4824A?
2/ If you post the custom probe files we can check the operation of the settings with those to see if there is potentially an issue with any of the Probe files.

Regards,

Hi
I tried the latest software now and it seems to work.
I did not update for a while and even had to roll back since software froze when just changing some settings like trigger or time base so I was using PicoScope_7.0.75.8573. But all ok now with PicoScope_7.0.82.9228.
