using Math to plot voltage*time

Post by Spongebob007 »

Hello,

I would like to plot the signal * time. Is this possible with PicoLog?
So I need a graph y=a*t, where a is my analog input and t is the time, for example in seconsd.

Thank you in advance...

Hi Spongebob007,

Unfortunately there is no direct representation of Time as a variable in a Math Channel in PicoLog 6. The only thing that you could do, if you have a PicoScope, is use PicoScope 6 to create a waveform in the Signal Generator that represents Time, in suitable units of the PicoLog Y-axis, and then capture the generated Waveform in your Data Logger and multiply Channel A by the units of the waveform (e.g. A* the Time Waveform channel) (Note that the Time accuracy of the waveform would become increasingly degraded over time because of the difference between the sample clock of the PicoScope and the sample clock of the Data Logger).
