Understanding Thunderbolt 4 Power Delivery with Picoscope ?

Post by nurber »

Hi Forum. I have a 4444 and recently purchased a Dell XPS with Linux in part to have a better Picoscope experience. Little did I know that Picoscope 6 was unusable on a high-DPI display. But I'm now able to use latest version 7 beta on this machine and it already seems an improvement resolving several issues I had with Picoscope 6 on Windows ( USB suspend issues requiring me to restart program, file handles remaining open requiring restarts, start/stop spacebar not working because of focus/modal windows, etc...). Last night I suspended my XPS with Picoscope still attached and was surprised to find my battery completely drained this morning. The 4444 LED was not on when I suspended ( closed the clamshell ) so I assumed there was no power draw, but might I have been mistaken ? Can anybody share information that might be helpful in learning more about this ?

Sven
