Getting maximum resolution .jpg files

Post by oldserverguy »

We're working remotely from each other on a Pico project. The .jpg files are stored with lossy compression which reduces the quality of the file. What's the best way to get uncompressed files for publication?

Personally I use snagit https://www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.html
This has the ability to save to .PNG and a lot of other formats lossless compression.

.jpg is a lossy compression. For a screen shot or a scope image you want a lossless image format.

I'll give it a screen capture a try with my old laptop but since it's a capture I have doubts about the resolution. I do have an expensive newer gaming laptop with a large screen but don't know if I want it around 10,00V.
