How does PicoScope use external scripted program cursors?

Post by xianbaownag »

Hello, I want to be able to program and position the cursor using.NET or. Can script when I'm using PicoScope to capture waveform. Does PicoScope support this function? If so, which function should be used to manipulate the cursor?thank you

Hi xianbaownag,

Unfortunately, this isn't supported in PicoScope 6. We only have CLI functions for specific mouse selections of long standing functions. Also, I'm guessing that you mean position the cursor at a specific X-axis value (which you would need complete control over your display to perform).

If, however, you just need to be able to zoom in and out to different levels, and then increment the cursor one pixel at a time left or right , then what you can do is assign keys to the Zoom and Cursor actions, as shown in the Cursor mapping (Ruler mapping in PicoScope 6) below:
Map Cursor and Zoom.png
...and then use scripting to perform the key presses.
