Issue with Picoscope 4224A

Post by staffa »

Hi Folks,

Just trying to get the 4224A working. Mostly all fine, but I've hit a snag.

I'm using the RunBlock method of collecting data. My calls prior to this (in order) are:

SetChannel
GetTimebase
SetSimpleTrigger
SetDataBuffer

On receipt of the data, I Stop the collection.

The first data collection run is fine.
Subsequent collection runs, however, are wrong. They start with values in the thousands of counts and fade to 0.

If I close the scope and re-open it, then the first data collection is correct again.

This leads me to suspect I am missing a step in the set-up of a new run.

Can you advise, please?

Thanks.
Regards,
Andy

An update:

An update on this – I switched from using the simple trigger to using the full trigger call (i.e. set Conditions, set Directions, set Properties, set Delay) and the scope now immediately returns results. Values are centred around 0.

Thanks.

We would need to see the values you are passing to the functions to understand what is going on.

I looked for a method of generating a ticket on your site and simply could not find one.

I have no idea where to find the ticket you have generated is.

Please provide a link.

Thanks.

Any further support on this issue?

I have not heard from your Support guy (Gerry) in two days.

His suggestions so far, are inconsistent with the code in your example PS4000ABlockExample and with your manual for running Block mode (3.6.1.1).

Thanks.
