Picoscope 4444 and 442 probe: locked to 100kHz

Post by sicanins »

Hi,
I just got my new PicoConnect 442 probe for the 4444 oscilloscope.

It work, but I am locked to a 100kHz bandwith limit. There is no other button available.
I tested it, in fact there is a low pass in place.
Tried to use another input and also deinstalled the software and installed again. I am on the 6.14.36 now, was on the beta version before.
What am I doing wrong? Would really need it to run at 10MHz as expected.

Thanks,
Simon

If you press the 100kHz button does it toggle the bandwidth limit on and off?

I will need to ask someone who has access to a 4444 and a 442 probe to check this on Monday.

Tested on my 4444 and 442 ant it is indeed locket at 100kHz

Simple test with a function generator 20Vp-p 100kHz

Blue ChA = 441 probe
Red ChB = 442 probe

At 1 en 5MHz the 442 still recognizes the wave but at only 50% of the real value

Thanks for confirming my observation.
I would happily try an older software version, but I can't find a link on the website...

I had the same problem with a Picoscope 4444 with 442 probes and the 6.14.36 software. We found a copy of Picoscope6_r6_13_6.exe on our server and now we have NONE, 1mHz and 100kHz buttons available. We just turned "check for updates" off and are good to go.
