Re: will picoscope 9404-05 interface with picoscope6 software for data acquisition?
Hi fareedasad,
Unfortunately, the PicoScope 9405 and the other 9000 series PicoScopes are all a different type of oscilloscope to the other models that we have in our range. These are not Real-Time oscilloscopes (or not just real-time oscilloscopes in the case of the 9404-5 that you have), they utilize Equivalent Time Sampling to give much higher effective sample rates. So they require different software, i.e. PicoSample 4, which you can find out about on the 9400 section of our website, here: https://www.picotech.com/oscilloscope/9 ... s-software and which you can download from here: https://www.picotech.com/download/softw ... -4.7.0.exe (note that this download link is valid at the time of posting this answer, for downloading at other times, go to our downloads page to get the latest version of the software).
Also, unfortunately, PicoSample 4 doesn't have a serial decoding function. So you can acquire RS232 data, but you will need a non 9000 series PicoScope, with PicoScope 6 software to acquire and decode it.
Regards,
Gerry
