Question about "Window Puls width" trigger of 5244D MSO

Post by oasis2016 »

Hello Martyn!
I set a 1KHZ square wave signal in my 5244D MSO, and then select the “Window Puls width” trigger of the oscilloscope, set the voltage range, and set the “time” to be greater than 8 nanoseconds, but it cannot trigger......

1KHz square wave pulse width certainly larger than I set the time waveforms should be triggered.
Is my understanding of this trigger wrong? :?:

Hope to get your help, thank you!

There may be an issue with Dwell Inside, if you change to Dwell Outside it works correctly. I will do some further investigation and then report to the development team.

:D
Yes, Martyn.
It looks like this is a problem with PicoScope 6.14.23, I updated to
Everything is normal after PicoScope 6.14.36!

But I have another question. Why can't the persistence mode and spectrum mode customize the sampling rate? And I found that their sampling rate is very low, so the screen display update speed is very slow.
In the spectrum mode, when I tried to test the X axis setting at 100Hz, it took at least 2 minutes to wait for the spectrum image to come out! That is, the "time gate" is very large. is this normal?

Thanks again!
Good luck! :P
