PicoScope 4262 for current measurements

Post by Valex »

Hello,
Now, I am considering the possibility of using PicoScope 4262 in the our company researches.
I have 2 questions:
1) is it possible to connect current probes to the PicoScope 4262 for current measuring (for example https://teledynelecroy.com/probes/current-probes/cp030)?
2) is it possible to connect a dry contact input to an external trigger input? Maybe there is an adapter for external trigger input.

Hi Valex,

This won't be straightforward to do.

To answer your questions:

1/ You would need a Probus to BNC adapter (the opposite of this https://teledynelecroy.com/probes/current-probes/ca10) and you may also need a means to supply power to the Probe (assuming that it was getting it from the Probus interface).

2/ You would need to provide some form voltage supply for a pull-up or pull down resistor to enable a voltage swing for triggering. You should be able to find a Digital IO board that will do what you need for the dry contact.
