A signal collection in Python Pico5000A

Generator Drive Signal-->collect 1ms data(12or 14bit, about 20MSa/s)-->transmit to PC and Data process（filter and our function）-->Start

Now I test the Block mode , Found that it takes nearly one second to complete (collect 1ms data-->transmit to pc).
How can i reduce this time?
