picoscope not found using external power

Hello,

Using win10, 32bit SDK v2.1.17.1454, picoscope 5444D MSO.

1/ pico connected with USB2 without power supply:
- ps5000aOpenUnit ok
- ps5000aSetSigGenBuiltIn returns 0x11A (PICO_POWER_SUPPLY_NOT_CONNECTED)
2/ pico connected with USB2 + using an external 5V 4A DC supply:
- ps5000aOpenUnit returns 0 - not found.

In all cases the pico graphical software can connect to the scope. Only the SDK fails using external power.

Any ideas?

Is this running your application or the application code that comes with the SDK?
