PicoScope 6403: maximum possible sampling rate

Post by HPC »

Hello everyone!

I have a question about the maximum possible sampling rate.

A PicoScope 6403 (Serial Number: AY166 / 046) with 1 GS buffer size is used.
I use 4 analog channels (8 bit resolution) and record a single curve over 20 s.

More than 10 MS / s cannot be set. With a recording time of 20 s and 4 channels, this corresponds to almost 1 GS. I can understand that.

The sampling time is displayed as 2 µs. I do not understand this, because 1 / (10MS / s) are 100 ns.
Or calculated differently: 20 s / 2 µs * 4 channels = buffer requirement of 40 MS.

Can anyone help me further?
Thanks a lot!

HPC

(I made this request yesterday and added a 12 MB psdata file. Unfortunately the article was not published. Anyway: I'm trying today without the file. But I can hand it in later.)
