Works on Ubuntu 20.04

Post by ferfromla@gmail.com »

Just got my Picoscope 2204A and was able to connect and run a few tests with Ubuntu 20.04. I did a 1khz tone test and the sign wave showed quite nicely. Did a frequency measurement and it was spot one. Also did THD test and again no problems. I used probes as well as an internal and external signal generator and both worked just fine. Tested an amplifier output with a dummy load and again no problems. So from where I sit it looks like Ubuntu 20.04 is the way to go if you are using Linux. By the way I also ran the scope on an old Win7 machine and it was flawless. The Picoscope Linux version is still not as complete as as the Win version but for some of the more simple tasks I think it is usable. Hopefully some day it will be the equal of the Win version, but for now at least it can connect to Ubuntu 20.04.
