Picoscope 2204A, photodiode, python, light onset latency

Hi there,

Is it possible to operate a Picoscope 2204A with a photodiode probe from within a python script to measure the system time at which the status of a light changes? I have installed the python SDK and was able to run some simple block capture examples for the ps2000 driver, but I'm not sure how one might go about relating the timing of a light to other events happening in a python script. Any insights or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
