Memory Consumption With Oversampling
I'm working on an application that requires capturing several thousand waveforms in rapid block mode. I only need to sample at a few MS/s, so I would like to take advantage of oversampling to improve my vertical resolution. My measurement already consumes most of the onboard memory, so I'm wondering if oversampling requires any more memory than the standard mode.
Does the oversampling feature average samples before saving the result in a memory block, or does it simply save data at the full rate and perform averaging at the time of readout?
