Saving Math channels to a file?

Post by JohnyC »

Hello everyone,
I am using Picoscope6 osci SW. I would like to know if is it possible to save math channels applied on recorded data to a file?
I have performed measurements. Then to do a quick analyse I like to just load the .psdata to osci SW, use some basics math channels (most of them with freq() function) and then save all the data to a new file with the math channels used. I always get some error and the saving fails.
Is that a bug? How to solve this? Would it be implemented in future ?
Thank you for hints.
Regards Jan.

Hi Jan,

I can't reproduce what you are seeing in our currently released version of the software (6.14.5.4585). Could you post a copy of the exact error message you are getting (e.g. from a posted screen shot). In the meantime, as a workaround, you should be able to go to the Math channels menu, select the the Math Channel, and then the export button will be revealed for you to save the Math Channel as a separate psmaths file.

Hi Gerry,
here is the error report.
my suspision is some overflow maybe. The buffer is completely full of data, so maybe when I create math channel and try to save all of the data+math channel, something can overflow, but its just a feeling.
