I2S LRCLK Glitch

Post by myamigoseh »

I have my 5443D MSO scope setup to monitor an 8-channel I2S interface (4 stereo signals). Connected as follows:

ANALOG
CH A: SCLK
CH B: LRCLK

DIGITAL
D0: SDATA0
D1: SDATA1
D2: SDATA2
D3: SDATA3
D4: LRCLK
D5: SCLK

I am seeing glitching on the digital version of LRCLK (D4) that is not evident on the analog (CH B is clean). I've attached an image of the PicoScope output which clearly shows this as well as a psdata file which can be used for detailed inspection.

This is completely messing up the decoded data so I don't have confidence in what I'm seeing. I can get by this for now by using the analog versions of SCLK & LRCLK but I need to free them up for other signal inspection.

Can someone look into this please? I submitted a report using the online feedback form but I have not received a response.

Do you have any of the digital port ground cables connected ?

Can you try putting the LRCLK on the other digital bank.
