Saving waveform in defined time

Post by tn96 »

Hello,

I am still relatively new to the use of PicoScope.

I want to record the waveform in a certain period of time e.g. 5 minutes and then save it as a CSV file for further processing.

Is this possible?

Greeting
tom

Save As' and selecting csv in the drop down list for 'Save As Type'), or you can set an alarm to save it automatically once the capture is complete (there is an example of how to do that on this post: https://www.picotech.com/support/topic39605.html?&p=141036&hilit=save+file+automatically#p141036).

Hi Tom,

It's not possible to set the value to exactly 5 minutes, but you can set it to 3 minutes and 20 seconds, or 8 minutes and 20 seconds. You just need to set the Timebase value (in the text box, just to the right of the house icon at the top of the display) to either 20s/div (for a total of 200s or 3 minutes and 20 seconds) or 500s (for a total of 500s or 8 minutes and 20 seconds). You can then manually save the waveform by going to 'File-->Save As' and selecting csv in the drop down list for 'Save As Type'), or you can set an alarm to save it automatically once the capture is complete (there is an example of how to do that on this post: https://www.picotech.com/support/topic39605.html?&p=141036&hilit=save+file+automatically#p141036).
