Triggering from AWG

Post by jswanson »

Hi,
I'm using a 2205 MSO and it would be really useful to trigger the scope from a certain point in the AWG output. I have a square wave output of a number of cycles where one of the cycles is slightly different. It is possible to trigger on it using the pulse width trigger, but I have to adjust it every time I change the waveform. The waveform is 8192 samples long, and it would be really useful to generate a trigger at an arbitrary point in this sequence, say, 4000. I'm not sure if the hardware is capable of this function?

PS the DALI decoder is really useful! There was talk some years ago, of adding the ability to do custom decoding. Is this still planned?

Regards,

Jeremy.

Hi jswanson,

Could you post a capture of your AWG waveform, so that we can consider what may be possible.

Unfortunately, it was decided that the intended implementation of custom decoding may cause more problems than it would solve, so that is no longer going to be implemented in PicoScope 6.
