Hi,
Is someone able to tell me if the CPU usage at idle for Picolog 6.1 of over 20% continuously is normal? And if so why is it so high and is this something that is being actively developed to reduce?
Ian.
Picolog 6.1 quite high CPU usage even at idle

Hi Ian,
What O/S are you using ?
Which version of the PicoLog 6 software are you running ?
What Pico devices are connected to the PC, and how are they configured in the software ?
It is advisable to ensure you are running the latest stable version of the software-

I seem to have forgotten to follow up on this question.
It is still an issue even with later versions of the software.
The PC is currently an ACER V5-171 with an i3217U, 6Gb RAM and a SSD.
I have attached a Task Manager screenshot showing typical CPU values at idle, although it can drop a bit lower sometimes. I guess that this is the price we pay for progressing on from the simpler interface and features of the old v5 software. I need to use a more powerful PC I guess.
