Charting Output ADC20

Post by Grizzly_Gra »

Hi,
Working on a project using an ADC20 and need some help getting the output into a visual chart with titles / headings / notes / etc.

I have 5 channels working and have split them over 3 axis so happy with the data I'm collecting and the graph you get with the recording capture but now need to put it into a document anyone can read and understand.

Am I better exporting the data into something like a .csv excel file and creating graphs within Microsoft type documents?

If the Picolog 6 software has the abilities to do what I want within it could someone please point me in a direction of finding some help.

Hi,

To export to csv click on the 'table view' tab, then click the button 'Configure Data Table'
Set the desired settings. You can set the 'Output sample rate' to slower the faster channel to down sample the data.
In this case the samples in between can be used to display Average, Minimum and Maximum values for a channel.
Then you can export 'graph bounds' view to csv.
'Table view' tab

Exporting Tip-
After you have setup your 'Table' export settings, goto the 'Graph' view and add 'Annotations', to create a "jump list" of a start/end events in your capture.
These are added in the right pane. Note you can keep clicking on "show in graph" button and it will zoom into the annotation as close as you need.
The adjust by zooming and panning to see the data you need to export. Then you can export 'graph bounds' view to csv.

Many thanks for your reply and I do believe it will help but I am struggling to see or understand where I find the 'table view tab' and where I actually can 'configure data table'.

I guess I may not being seeing the obvious but a little more guidance would be appreciated.
